Meet Dr. Darshan Brar
Dr Darshan Brar has recently joined SmileLine Dental Clinic in Caroline Springs. She has extensive experience in dentistry spanning 15 years. She ran a large general practice in India before moving to Australia eight years ago. She completed her Graduate Certificate in Clinical Dentistry in 2009 from the University of Melbourne and is a member of the Australian Dental Council.
Highly skilled in all areas of general dentistry, Dr. Brar has particular interest and expertise in Endodontics( Root canal Treatment ), Prosthodontics,Cosmetic Dentistry and the dental needs of patients with chronic and complex medical conditions.
Dr. Brar places high value on patient satisfaction and building lasting relationships. She is known for her patience, gentleness and skill. She has been involved in Community dentistry for several years, identifying patients needs, developing individualized treatment plans and preventative programs. In accordance with her goal of incorporating new and advanced technologies into her practice, Dr. Brar participates in continuing education workshops and seminars.
Darshan lives with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys running, reading fiction, oil painting and spending time with her family.
Meet Dr. Nate Tran
Dr Nate Tran came to Australia at the age of five as a child with his refugee parents who fled Vietnam. He started his schooling locally at St. Peter Chanel Deer Park and subsequently completed his secondary education at the selective-entry Melbourne High School. Nate graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelors of Health Science (Dentistry) / Masters of Dentistry to qualify as a practicing General Dentist in 2012.
Since then, he has been continuously involved in all aspects of Dentistry. He was given a position at La Trobe University immediately after Graduating as a Clinical Teacher, passing on his recently qualified knowledge to students. Over the past 6 years he has remained in various teaching roles. At current, he is a clinical demonstrator in Ballarat where he supervises final year students to safely treat public patients.
Nate has always placed great importance in quality genuine care to the local community and with his parents’ guidance, recognises the hardship that many still face today back in Vietnam. He has given up his time to travel as a volunteer with the Christian Health Aid Team where they last travelled to rural South Vietnam to treat Orphans. The team provided much needed medical and dental care to thousands of those who suffer from infections and living with constant chronic pain.
Nate has an interest in all aspects of general dentistry including fillings, aesthetic veneers and whitening. He is a gentle Dentist who calms even the most fearful of patients.
